Christmas Eve.

We spent Christmas Eve at the hospital in Gainesville with Gammy. It was a hard day. She was really sick: chills, nausea, vomitting, fever, more hair loss… it was rough. I came home discouraged and sick; this it not how Christmas is supposed to be, we shouldn’t be in a hospital, no one should be sick, no one should be hurt, no one should be sad. As I was sitting in her room today, I noticed she could use a couple more pictures, and so tonight when I got home, I began picking out some of my favorites from years past. An hour and 100+ photos later, I was smiling, and my heart felt joy at the realization that though this Christmas is not the same, we all get to be together. We’re all together, helping and supporting each other through this, together. And that’s what really matters.

Wishing you and yours a very blessed day tomorrow, and a very Merry Christmas. β™₯

  1. Words so beautiful and true. Praying for Jesus to bless your hearts and minds with His peace and for Gammy’s cure and recovery to be the most wonderful, amazing, complete healing the dr’s, nurses and everyone has ever seen and to God be all the glory! Love you!
