Orlando Museum of Art.

This weekend, along with throwing an amazing surprise party, I also had the opportunity to photograph a showing at the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA.) The “XX-XY/Gender Representation in Art” showcase contended of pieces that examined the roles of men and women and how they are portrayed visually. The exhibition was divided into four themes: Magnetism (the power to attract others); Domesticity (the influences of home life, but also the possibility to tame); Power (the ability to have strength, influence and/or control); and Enhancements (adornments that enhance an individual’s status). Every piece was truly so striking and inspiring, and the showing reassured me that declaring Art Studio as my minor was not a mistake in the slightest.
