This year for Mothers Day, my sister and I decided to make lunch and dinner for our family, a task that is normally my mother’s. Along with good food, I wanted to create a pretty table setting for us to eat at. Thus: peonies, white mums, and green apples made into candle holders. The placemats are actually napkins from The Fresh Market, while mason jars served as vases for the flowers. The day included bruschetta, sweet tea, shrimp scampi, sourdough bread, pasta salad, and spending time with the most beautiful woman I know.
