Gift Guide: Moms.

My mother is the worst person to Christmas shop for, only because of the fact that I want my gifts to her to be as special as she is. Mom’s tend to get the re-hashed presents that fit their roles as we see them: that coupon to vacuum for her one day, a cookbook, dare I say… a framed picture of yourself? As much as I’m sure these gestures are treasured, here’s a couple items inspired by my mother that are a little more current: a poster from here, since she didn’t get to go with you the last time you were in NY (#7,) ornaments that look homemade, since those are her favorite (#4,) a banner that means ‘to delight in life’ to make her smile (#12,) the book The Help, since she loved the movie so much (#11,) and the sheet music for the score of You’ve Got Mail, to play for her on the piano when you’re visiting home from college (#20.) All gifts are under $50.

  2. This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool! 412023
