Amongst the various choices of food goodies in Chelsea Market, including crepes from Bar Suzette, cheese from Lucy’s Whey or a brownie from Fat Witch, there’s a vendor in the market that, after this past weekend, is no doubt my favorite yet: Doughnuttery. I spotted the stand a few weeks ago when my mother was in town: it was fairly hidden in the far back corner by The Nut Box, but despite it’s location, the long line leading up to its counter sparked my curiosity. With Chris in town and the Meatpacking District a staple on our to-do list, we made it a point to stop at the stand, choosing a half dozen of the PBCP donuts: peanut butter, cayenne pepper and pretzel. Though the combo sounded strange, we were over the moon with how they tasted, and I couldn’t seem to take enough pictures of the adorable miniature pastry.
