Birreria at Eataly.


As I mentioned in my Eataly post, after exploring the rows and rows of Italian-stocked shelves, we headed to the rooftop to have dinner at Birreria. We got there just as the sun had set, outlining every building in black from our view from the glass rooftop over us. We started with beers and three of their incredible cheese selections with honey, (robiola bosina, provolone mandarone and ricotta fresca,) before whiffing down their apricot pork shoulder with apples and mustard vinaigrette. Not being much of a meat-eater, I quickly realized how different that fact would be should I start dining from Italian menus: everything was amazing. The gelato downstairs following our meals may have really stolen the show though… it was the best pistachio and salted caramel ice cream I have ever had.
